BrightSpot has successfully installed its first PLus-Spot^TM tool for large-area, non-contact, 1-Sun, photoluminescence (PL) imaging on the production line of a Perovskite solar panel manufacturer. The tool can image defects and nonuniformities for any PV technology including silicon, Perovskites, CdTe, CIGS, and III-V multijunction space cells. The first tool was installed after electron transport layer deposition, and the 2nd tool under construction will be installed after perovskite layer deposition. Custom systems are available up to utility-scale solar panel sizes, and electroluminescence (EL) imaging options are also available. Now taking orders for new systems.
