IMPEL Software

Unified control platform for BrightSpot imaging systems

Seamless coordination of camera, light sources, and power supply.

Seamless coordination of camera, light sources, and power supply.

One interface that allows you to control, enhance images & report

Control

IMPEL talks to your system components and even to the rest of your factory – cameras, lenses, filter wheels, power supplies, relays, valves, motors, sensors, PLC’s, barcode readers, and other computers. Autofocus routines can ensure perfect focus every time.

Enhance

Captured images can be automatically enhanced through manipulations such as lens distortion corrections, perspective distortion corrections, contrast/brightness enhancement, autocropping of areas around the cells/panels, image colorization across several palette choices, and background noise (sunlight) removal. Such enhancements can be applied as images are captured or later in a batch mode to an entire dataset. Multi-camera images of large panels can be automatically stitched together into a single composite image.

Report

Original and enhanced images are all saved in user defined folders with the scanned serial number or user defined sample name in the image filename together with a timestamp. For each image captured, all important recipe parameters and quantified analysis (average pixel intensity and standard deviation of pixel intensity) are saved as a row in a data log.

Recipe Workflows

All critical device control and image enhancement parameters are saved in Recipes for easy recall. Multi-step recipes can be defined to automatically take a series of images under different conditions to accomplish tasks such as Daytime EL capture and the mapping quantified figures of merit.

Integrate
Seamlessly

Integrate Seamlessly with Factory Automation

IMPEL software can be customized to handshake with factory PLCs and to communicate with secure enterprise software systems.

RAW image mode together with an optional sinking power supply enables intensity and bias-dependent PL for spatial mapping of diode ideality factor, series resistance, implied open-circuit voltage, and power conversion efficiency.

Integrate Seamlessly with Factory Automation

IMPEL powered systems:

From stationary EL/PL systems to field-ready tools, our imaging systems come standard with IMPEL.
